Our Day

Cognashene Community Church

The Ceremony

We'll exchange vows on a small rocky island at Cognashene Community Church, on Freddy Channel — accessible only by boat.

Rain or shine: the ceremony takes place outdoors on a natural rock and grass island. Please wear footwear appropriate for docks, uneven terrain, and boarding a boat.

The Georgian Spirit

The Georgian Spirit

The Reception

From the church, we'll board the Georgian Spirit for a private 4-hour reception cruise of Georgian Bay at sunset. Small plates, open bar, and late-night snack will be served onboard.

Cocktail attire — keep heels practical for the docks.

Tentative Timeline

The wedding ceremony will take place at an island church in Georgian Bay. The boat ride from Honey Harbour to the ceremony venue is approximately 45 minutes each way.

All guests are welcome to attend the ceremony; however, you may choose to attend either the ceremony and reception or the reception only. Please let us know whether you plan to attend:

This information will help us arrange boat transportation for those attending the ceremony.
