How we met
We first met in fifth grade, but when Dasha moved to virtual school the following year, we lost touch. We reconnected in high school through social media and started dating in 2019. Ever since, we've built our lives together and made countless memories along the way.
The proposal
The proposal was a beautiful full-circle moment for us. On our very first trip together at 17, we traveled to New York City and quickly fell in love with its energy and chaos. One of our favorite memories from that trip was finding a small bench tucked away beside a river in Central Park, where we sat talking for hours and watched rats run through the greenery. Nearly five years later, we found ourselves back in the same city and the same little bench in Central Park, but this time we left with a new beginning, and a ring.
Why Georgian Bay
Ethan has spent nearly every summer of his life at Georgian Bay. Over the last few years, Dasha has joined him, and we've both fallen in love with the area. It has become a place where we've made some of our favorite memories together, making it the perfect setting for the next chapter of our story.
