Plan to be at the Honey Harbour town dock by 4:30 PM. The first boat shuttle to the ceremony departs at 5:00 PM sharp, and the church is only accessible by water — there's no second chance to catch up. We'd rather you wait 15 minutes than miss the boat.
Cognashene Community Church, on a small rocky island in Freddy Channel, Georgian Bay. The church is boat-access only — we've arranged shuttle boats from Honey Harbour. Once on the island, the ceremony takes place outdoors on natural rock and grass.
Cocktail attire in colors of your choice. Keep in mind you'll be walking on docks, boarding boats, and standing on uneven rock during the ceremony — we strongly suggest practical shoes (flats, block heels, or chic sneakers) over stilettos. A light wrap or jacket is wise for the cruise once the sun sets.
The ceremony goes ahead rain or shine. The church has limited indoor space and the rest of the island is open — bring a small umbrella or rain jacket in your bag just in case. The reception is fully covered on the Georgian Spirit, so the evening continues comfortably regardless of weather.
To the ceremony: boat shuttles run from the Honey Harbour town dock starting at 5:00 PM. To the reception: after the ceremony, shuttles take you back to the Delawana Resort dock to board the Georgian Spirit at 6:30 PM. The cruise itself runs 7:00–11:00 PM. After: the cruise returns to the dock at 11:00 PM and a shuttle will run guests back to Honey Harbour and the Christie's Mill hotel block in Port Severn.
Georgian Bay is generally calm at sunset, especially inside the 30,000 Islands where we'll be cruising. The Georgian Spirit is a stable, large boat. If you're prone to motion sickness, take a Dramamine or Bonine an hour before boarding (or wear a Sea-Band wristband) — they're available at any pharmacy.
The invitation will indicate whether a plus-one is included. If yours does, please add their name when you RSVP. Due to the boat's capacity, we unfortunately can't accommodate guests who weren't named on the invitation.
We love your kids — but given the boat ceremony and late-evening cruise, we've decided to keep the celebration adults-only. If you're traveling from out of town and need help arranging childcare at the resort, let us know.
We've blocked a group of rooms at Christie's Mill Inn & Spa in Port Severn (minutes from Honey Harbour) for Thursday Aug 27 and Friday Aug 28. See the Travel page for full details, rates, and booking instructions — the cutoff is July 15, 2026.
Please reply by Saturday, August 1, 2026 at ethan-and-dasha.com/rsvp.html. Earlier is always better — it helps us finalize boat and catering counts.
Yes — see the Registry page. Your presence is the only gift we need, but registries are there for those who'd like to do more.
